Maximum efficiency, balance of removal

The Evaflux® fractionator filters are designed for semi-selective purification of the patient’s plasma.

The several pore sizes of the fractionator filters allow semi-selective removal of target molecules based on their molecular weight.

The different pore sizes enable predominantly the removal of high molecular weight substances (such as IgM, fibrinogen, LDL, etc.), while returning to the patient other physiologically useful components characterized by lower molecular weights, including most of the albumin.

Kawasumi in summary

The fractionator filters can be used in conjunction with the Plasmapher/Apherlungs system, which automatically manages all treatment phases and regeneration of the fractionator filter column, enhancing its performance.

The plasma directed to the fractionator filter can be obtained, in the case of Double Filtration Plasmapheresis (DFPP), from a plasma filter inserted into the circuit, or, in the case of Cascade Filtration (CF), from a cell separator.
