Aferetica is an innovative SME, active for over ten years in many clinical fields, from Nephrology to Critical Care up to Transplant. In collaboration with the medical-scientific community, we work for the most advanced therapeutic solutions by enhancing the experiences, technological knowledge, and production capabilities of the Mirandola Biomedical District, one of the largest biomedical industry districts at European level.

We would like to be catalyst for the creation of a network of physicians, academics, researchers and industrial partners in an innovation-oriented approach to develop new therapeutic solutions, also in unexplored clinical fields, transforming ideas into knowledge and concrete results.

Collaborative Research

Collaborative Research is at the basis of the definition and the development of our proposals: to transform ideas into therapeutic solutions and concrete clinical results, we work closely with the clinicians, the scientific community and qualified industrial partners.
To consolidate this approach, we try to encourage an open discussion on the main topics in the management of Transplantation, Organ Perfusion and Critical Care therapeutical solutions:
Workshop Purification Therapies, an event created to become a meeting point where to share the main clinical challenges, ideas and results obtained on applied therapeutic protocols.

Aferetica Lab

AfereticaLab: the involvement of the clinical and the industry experts to define and validate new therapeutic approaches in organ perfusion and therapeutical approaches, including the simulation of real-use conditions for the developed systems.

The team

Our team relies on the consolidated experience of the founding partners in blood purification and extracorporeal circulation therapies, applied in many fields, mainly Critical Care, Organ Perfusion and Transplantation.
Since the beginning, we are constantly working to transfer these skills and knowledge to new applications and fields.
