From September 27 to 29, Bari hosts the 49th National Congress of the Italian Society of Organ and Tissue Transplantation (SITO). Aferetica takes part at booth 1 to delve into the latest advancements in organ ex-situ management, from preservation to regeneration, with PerLife®ᴾᴿᴼ, for liver and kidney perfusion, and PerTravel®, for organ preservation and transport.

Aferetica is also hosting a lunch symposium, “From Organ Preservation to Regeneration: Challenges and Opportunities” (September 28, 13:00–14:00, Sala Fenice), chaired by L. Gesualdo (Bari) and U. Cillo (Padua). The programme includes contributions from M. Boffini (Turin) on static preservation and transport, C. Puliatti (Parma) on organ perfusion timing, P. Magistri (Modena) on temperature management in ischemia-reperfusion injury, and M. Fiorentino (Bari) on immunomodulation.
